Alexandra Roozen has been awarded several grants from the Mondriaan Fund and CBK. Her work has recently been exhibited in the Younguen Museum for Contemporary Art (Korea), Verbeke Foundation (Belgium), Stedelijk Museum Schiedam (the Netherlands), and at art fairs, such as ao Drawing Now Paris (France), PULSE Miami, VOLTA NY (solo, USA) and Art on Paper NY (solo, USA).
Her work speaks of experimentation, but is also deeply indebted to the tradition of drawing. The artist’s keen awareness of history, combined with her well-honed technique, leads her to further explore drawings’ possibilities and boundaries.
